OOTD: Black and White Prints

Hey everyone!

The weather is getting colder with every passing day. Each morning when I get up and get ready for the day, I look outside and all I see is a dark sky. It takes so much effort to figure out what to wear for the day. That means, I generally just wear whatever I want and hope for the best. The weather may or may not agree with me, but I've got an umbrella so it's all good!

Luckily, I got to take these pictures when the sun was actually out in the morning. In fact, it was so bright, I had trouble keeping my eyes open. I don't know about you, but for me, my eyes like to tear up and water really easily. It's a pain in the derriere because makeup, you know?

Today, I wanted to share with you one of my favorite outfits. I pulled on a pair of black and white printed leggings and wore a black top with it. The top actually has these lace-detailed shoulders, but it was cold so sorry just use your imagination.

I wrapped a blue-green infinity scarf around my neck to help keep warm. This scarf is so different than most scarves I have. Most scarves I own have more warm tones to it, aside from a dark blue one. But yeah, most scarves I own have either intricate and unique designs and prints, or are a simple and solid color. I love wearing scarves; they can really add a pop of color to an outfit. Plus, they keep you warm, which is a definite plus.

I topped it all off with a gray, you guessed it, leather jacket. Yeah... it's a leather jacket again. #Sorrynotsorry

I got this jacket for my birthday a couple years ago from one of my best friends. I really love the style and fit of this jacket. My parents say I got too many leather jackets. But I disagree. They all got different styles, so really, I don't have that many.

Leather jackets are my life! Yeah, it's getting cold so I should probably wear one of my new coats I got. But, I just can't leave my beautiful jackets behind, they will get sad. They will feel lonely til I wear them again when the weather warms up again.

I wore the same brown shoes I wore in my last post, they really went well with the whole boho earthy-colored vibe I got goin on. At least, I think that's how to describe it?

The whole tan-brown shoes, printed pants, and the blue-green scarf complement each other really well. The outfit is simple and comfortable, plus it doesn't take too much effort to put on. I can't really be expected to wear something that requires too much work in the mornings, now can I? I know you guys all get me here.

Finals are coming up really soon for me. This Friday I have an exam, and then next week I got a couple final projects going on as well. Woohoooo break is almost here! I'm actually kind of sad the quarter is ending. I'm really enjoying two of the classes I'm taking. The third one, I don't really like, so I'm okay it's ending. It just wasn't what I expected. But that's the good thing about the quarter system UW has. If you hate a class, you finish faster. But, on the other hand, if you love it, you still end fast.

OOTD: Leather in Brown

Hey everyone!

I have a confession to make: I have an obsession with leather jackets. I love wearing leather in black, gray, and as you can see here today, brown. There is just something about brown leather that has a classic feel to it. Brown leather can be worn in many ways, conveying different styles. It's such a great, versatile piece.

Even though it is December, my outfits are still on the brink between fall and winter. Because the weather here in Seattle is more or less the same every day, I can still get away with wearing a few pieces that are more fall-themed. Of course, I am freezing my face off in the mornings, but once it becomes the afternoon, my leather jacket doesn't feel as thin anymore.

Of course, I know that sooner or later I really will have to dress more for the winter. I'm starting to wear gloves in the mornings just to combat the cold. I use these cool fingerless ones that have an attached cover to turn into mittens. So handy to have when I want to use my phone while wearing gloves. First world problems, anyone?

I really love wearing this brown jacket with my brown shoes. The colors are very similar, even though I bought them separately. I also love how the brown looks against the olive green of the jacket I'm wearing underneath.

The brown leather jacket, olive green jacket, and the off-white lace top goes well together, creating a nice uniformed grouping of colors. I think it's because it gives off this boho feel to it, which is why I like this combination so much.

I admit, I really need to start wearing some winter outfits. In fact, I purchased a wonderful new winter coat this past Black Friday. I just can't seem to fully bring myself to embrace winter just yet. Something about the crisp autumn feel in the air that I want to hold onto. But, I do admit I can't wait for the holidays. I'm feeling so conflicted.

OOTD in Leather: When No Inspiration Strikes

Hey everyone!

Today I am sharing with you one of my favorite go-to outfits. This is the perfect lazy day outfit because, ironically enough, it does not look lazy. In fact, you will look like you made an effort.

Whenever I'm just getting no inspiration, or have no idea what to wear, I usually would reach for a skirt. I always have a few no-fail outfits to fallback on whenever necessary. Skirt and jacket combos are definitely on the list.

Here, I chose to wear a plain black top with a black bodycon skirt over sheer black tights. Because it is all monochrome in black, it gives the illusion that you know what you're doing when in fact you are just too lazy to bother with patterns.

I added a cozy printed knit cardigan because it's cold in the fall, and the cardigan adds some pizzazz to the outfit. Printed cardigans are the epitome of fall for me. They are super easy to style, and are very comfortable to wear.

As it isn't warm enough with just the cardigan, I added a black leather jacket as well. This really ties it all together and makes you look like you put in effort. Honestly, one big secret I got for all you lazy people out there, just pulling on a nice leather jacket can make you look instantly put together. A good fitting leather jacket can really give that necessary oomph to an outfit.

I threw on my trusty everyday black boots because they are comfy and works with almost everything I own. Shoulder my black leather backpack and I'm ready for class!
