I hope you guys aren't completely broke after holiday shopping, and still got some left to treat yourselves. If you are in need of some ideas to accessorize, I've got a way to solve that problem. With these busy pre-holiday days, it is definitely easy to be at loss when it comes to what to wear for a night out after having spent the day running from one place to another trying to get everything done.

In just one week, Christmas will finally be here! I cannot believe how quickly this holiday season has passed by. Though, I do say that every year. To the point where my sister gets annoyed with me and my yakking about how time is going too fast. Unlike last year, I actually have been getting into the holiday mood. Because of my incessant need to blast holiday music, I truly feel like it is mid-December. Plus. it helps that every time I went out the crowded parking lots and bumper-to-bumper traffic reinforced the fact that people are indeed out holiday shopping with frenzy. It's the holiday season for sure.

I've mentioned several times before that I work part time as a barista, and you have no idea how many kids hot chocolates I've made in the past several weeks. And not all of them were for kids, if you know what I mean.

The month of December entails many days of errand running and last minute shopping, and many nights of get-togethers and gift exchanges with friends or other holiday parties. Literally in one week, Christmas will be here! I've already done a round of gift exchanging with some of my friends. Whenever I buy gifts for people, I always get so overeager, and desperately want to give it to them right then and there. It's so hard to wait. Patience is a struggle. I have a few more gift exchanges coming up, with one being both for a birthday and for Christmas. I definitely cannot wait to receive my own gifts! Have you opened any gifts you've received yet?

With a busy schedule, the term "transitional outfit" really becomes your best friend. Living out of your car doesn't sound so extreme at this time of year.

Today, I wanted to share with you all some mood board style ideas for day to night transitional outfits. Easy styling ideas for whenever you feel at loss. Nothing overwhelming, just simplicity and minimalism to contrast with your hectic life.

With this mood board here, I put together things that would all work well for a day look. You guys are all very well aware of my obsession with jumpsuits, so I just had to include one. A jumpsuit for the day might not seem like something to go for during the winter months, but paired with a thick blazer or long wool coat, it would work well. The heels I chose are not super high and skinny, definitely more reasonable of an option to walk around in. Although, if you are really out and about, then go for flat shoes like some ankle boots instead. If you twist an ankle, that would just add another thing to your list to take care of.

A quick and easy swap for the night would be changing up your outer layers, and slipping on a different pair of shoes. If you got the time, redo your hair and maybe even swipe on a bolder lip color to finish. Fur coats are super trendy right now. Fur or faux fur coats have this edgy, daring feel to it. They are relaxed and cozy, yet look very chic and model off-duty. The burgundy boots contrast in color with the coat ever so slightly, adding to the overall fun, playful night look. The cooler tone of the boots and the dark navy coat are just analogous enough that it works. Plus, the darker red makes it perfect for any holiday party you're attending.

I like chunky jewelry, but sometimes minimalist pieces work best. You don't have to think too much about what to wear with it. They work with nearly everything. I have this statement necklace that I've only worn a handful of times because I have to center the outfit around that necklace. Whereas, with a delicate piece like the gold bar, you can literally wear anything.

Currently, I am finding myself really going for minimalist jewelry, and AUrate really adds to it. It inspires me to find simple pieces that work well with everything, that are sleek and modern and tasteful.

I hope you are all having a fantastic week! It's been crazy hot here lately, after a fickle few days of cloudy then sunny then cloudy then sunny then rainy weather. Seriously, the weather can be more indecisive than me staring at a menu in a restaurant with the waiter hovering over me forcing me to choose. The struggle is real guys.

I've been very obsessed with Instagram lately. In my free time, I'm constantly scrolling through and double tapping. I never thought that I would become this obsessed, but I am. It's such a great way to see what other people are up to, and to find sources of inspiration. One thing that I've been noticing is the trend of one-piece swimsuits. They've resurfaced as the current style to wear. Seeing as my jumpsuit obsession hasn't died down yet, it was only a matter of time before one-piece swimsuits caught my eye.



When I was younger, I wasn't too fond of this style. I think it was for the same reason that makes jumpsuits slightly flawed in my eyes. Meaning, it is a hassle to have to use the bathroom. Yes, it all comes down to that again. Sorry guys, but you know it's true. Bathroom issues is also why I like to wear belts only around my waist, and not through the loops of my pants.

Tangent aside, there are so many ways to style one-piece swimsuits to personalize them. You can just simply don a one-piece and call it a day, but if you happen to come across a "Who Wore it Better?" situation, don't you want to win? I know I do. Life's not always a competition, but sometimes it is. Plus, accessorizing is another way to further self-expression to personalize your look and make it more you.



Adore Me is a brand that offers a wide range of swimsuits, sleepwear, and lingerie to choose from. They have some really great one-piece swimsuits that would be perfect to wear at the beach for these last bits of summer. You can never have too many swimsuits because with differing styles, colors, and designs, you cannot just settle with one.



To style a one-piece swimsuit, accessories are key. Yeah you might wear a shirt or some form of coverup over your swimsuit before you get to the beach, but that doesn't really enhance the swimsuit. It mostly covers it up.



One basic way to accessorize and show your personal style is through jewelry. Whatever jewelry you choose reflects the look you are going for. Whether it is light and dainty, or chunky and statement. I found some great pieces I've got that would work really well with one-piece swimsuits in particular. Without all that excess skin showing like with bikinis, you can wear chunky jewelry with a one-piece and not look imbalanced. I don't know about you, but I always find that accessories with bikinis looks disproportionate and too much.



You can also accessorize with scarves. Lightweight silk scarves are perfect with one-piece swimsuits, as they enhance that classic glamorous look. I love how chic scarves, swimsuits, and sunglasses look altogether.

Here are some of my favorite scarves that I've got with great colors and patterns that definitely help in personalizing a look.




With scarves, the colors and patterns can dress up a plain one-piece, or add visual interest in the form of a slight contrast against the patterns existing on the swimsuits already. Whichever colors or patterns you choose definitely will show how bright and bold, or subtle and minimalistic you are.


This isn't exactly accessorizing per se, but it does help nonetheless. A look isn't complete just in the outfit itself. With the right makeup, you can definitely add to a look. Summer is the perfect time to try out new strobing techniques, and to use that highlighter you've got sitting around. I love this highlighter. Benefit makes really great ones, long-lasting and with smooth consistencies that feel like nothing on your face. I've been wearing this highlighter a lot lately. It's seriously so nice. Lightly shimmery, but not overly so that you look like you doused in glitter. Have you tried this highlighter?

You can also personalize with lip colors, or blush. I generally like to play up the skin when at the beach, rather than eyes for makeup. More natural that way, you know? (I mean, as "natural" as makeup can really be) Makeup is definitely another way to style a swimsuit because your face finishes off the look.

I love playing with prints, as you probably already know. They also have some swimsuits with edgy cutouts and sheer panels. I definitely recommend checking out their site! We've still got some summer left in the year, so buying a new swimsuit is still justifiable.

Hey everyone!

How has your week been? After the amazing experience I had last weekend, this past weekend has been very dull. Otherwise, my week has been pretty good. This quarter, I am interning at the art gallery at my school for both credit and experience. It's a great thing to put on a resume. I also find it way more enjoyable than sitting in class and studying for tests. Though, at times I do miss the rush of adrenaline I get when I'm cramming for a test. The other classes I am taking are not as stressful as the ones I had last quarter. Thank goodness. It's been a nice, chill several weeks so far. Let's hope I didn't just jinx it.

I don't know if you remember, but a long time ago I created a wishlist of things I wanted to get from Newchic. They have a lot of nice things on that site for pretty reasonable prices. A while ago, I received those things I put on my wishlist. I wanted to share with you all today a review. Hopefully this helps you find some things to get if you are feeling like you want to update your wardrobe.

I LOVE oversized scarves because they feel like you are wearing a blanket. Or a cape. I can pretend to be like superwoman or something. Here, I paired the scarf with the lovely black romper I got from Newchic. Rompers have been and currently are in style. I just had to get one because with the warmer weather, I can get sick of wearing shorts, skirts, and dresses. A versatile romper like this one can really come in handy.

When ordering this romper, I tried matching my own measurements as closely as possible to the ones available for sizing online. However, the romper turned out to be too big. A similar thing happened in another occasion when I shopped online, where the dress I got was too large. But, getting something that is bigger than desired is a simple fix. Because it is a romper, I just threw on a black belt, and basically tucked in the romper at the sides in such a way to make it look more fitted. The black belt was one I already owned and not part of the actual romper, but I think that it adds a little oomph to the outfit.

I'll definitely find a way to alter the romper to make it fit better, but otherwise I really like the overall quality and the style. It will be perfect for many occasions. Black rompers are so versatile. They have the simplicity of a dress, in that with one item you've got yourself an outfit, but without the hassle of having to actually wear a dress. Wearing dresses can be nice, but you have to care about how you sit and such, which can become annoying at times. That's wear a nice romper comes in handy.

The last thing I got was this black bucket bag. Let me be honest here. I seriously LOVE this bag to death! Ever since I've gotten it, I've used it everywhere I go. It's such a great, versatile design. It can go with many outfits. The overall structure is nice. It can hold a TON of stuff. The material of it is sturdy, and more or less waterproof because of the faux-leather. I really really like it. Of everything I got, this is the one thing I will really be putting to use. The only thing I don't like is that there is some random E decal, which I assume is from the brand. But, I can remove it if I wanted to. I just wish that it was an A for Andrea.

I may claim at times to have the mindset of an eighty-years old lady, but I sure do not have the memory of one.

Hey everyone!

I wanted to start off by saying thank you to everyone for your sweet comments in my last post. I've been feeling a little down lately, since the new year has started. Blaming it on the post-holiday blues. But I'm feeling better. I know things will get better. We all have those ups and downs. That's normal for us all. And I really wanted to thank you for your kind words and all. Hope you guys are all doing well, too.

Anyways, today I wanted to share with you some stuff on my current wishlist.

Even though the holidays are long over and the new year has started, I'm still in that shopping mode. Yes, I received wonderful gifts, but I still find myself browsing the internet finding things I desperately want to buy. One of my goals this year is to save my money, but that's going to be sort of difficult if I keep tempting myself with online shopping, huh?

Here is my wishlist from Banggood.com, an online shopping site that has a vast collection of stuff that I guarantee will tempt you as well.

1-Lizard Ear Clip Earring

I think that this earring would be such a cool thing to wear. It's definitely super edgy, and I have no idea if I could pull that off. But it's still really nice and different.

2-Cross body Bag

This is the kind of bag I've been searching for awhile now. I love how classic and simple the design is. It's something that can go with pretty much every outfit, and become essential in your wardrobe.

3-Wool Coat

I usually go for black coats, but I really like how this looks in gray. The asymmetrical design makes it even more unique and different as well. I really like how the random folds and the zipper adds to the overall look.

4-Lace up Shoes

These shoes have been springing up everywhere the past year. I really like the lace up detail, it gives the look a boho vibe, which I like. It's perfect for spring.

5-Heeled Boots

I really like this color for the boots. These are such a simple style, ones that can be worn for a lot of different occasions. The tan-brown color also makes it more of a statement than plain black ones would.

6-Gloves

These gloves are so adorable! I love the bows on them. They add something girly to an otherwise edgy yet plain design. I love leather gloves, and the bows just makes me want them more.

7-Cardigan

The intricate pattern and drape of this cardigan is so different from what I already have. I like how it will seamlessly fit into my current wardrobe, yet it is such a statement in itself.

8-Scarf

I love blanket scarves. I love to wear huge scarves with all my outfits. This scarf will definitely be a great addition to my current collection.

9-Ring

I have an obsession with rings. I really love the leaf design here, and the way it wraps around your finger. It's so pretty, and will be a perfect statement piece.

10-Turtleneck Coat

I usually like to go for neutral colors when I choose coats. However, this burgundy color just caught my eye. Again, the asymmetrical design makes it unique, and I just really like the overall style.

11-Dress

This dress has also been popping up everywhere lately. It's something that can easily be thrown on, yet looks very put together and nice. I like the buttons on the side. This is something I can definitely see myself wearing. Maybe with that burgundy coat too?

12-Boots

These black boots are soooo beautiful! I love the chunky heel and the platform. The overall style is so basic, yet unique in itself. I really love the look of it. I can always go for another pair of heeled boots because I love wearing heels. And the two-toned style makes it different from what I already got.

Definitely check out this site, there are so many awesome things you can find. And the prices are all pretty reasonable and affordable as well. I'm kind of looking for some excuses right now to do some shopping, perhaps to treat myself for surviving the first week of winter quarter back at school? Is that reason enough?

Hey everyone!

I love to get dressed up for no reason sometimes. Just slip on a nice outfit, fix up my hair and makeup, and complete it all with the perfect accessories. I find that the finishing touch to an outfit is the accessories you add to it. You can even dress up a boring old t-shirt just by adding a statement necklace. It's so easy the laziest person on Earth can accomplish it.

The other day when one of my friends got all dressed up, I noticed the jewelry she had stacked on her fingers and wrists. They were so unique, matching her edgy rocker glam style so well.

Mixed metals bracelets and rings

My friend is an incredibly talented musician, hence the pictures showing her playing the keyboard. She was in the middle of showing us her latest original song when I interrupted her to take pictures of her jewelry.

I always love her jewelry. I am the girl who has a ton of necklaces and she is the girl with a ton of cool rings. I love her ring collection. Only she can wear that many statement rings on one hand, and pull it off!

Rings and bracelets

This is a picture of her rings and her bracelets. I admire how she is not afraid to mix metals. She is wearing gold and silver and black bracelets. For all you jewelry-shy people out there, do not be afraid to mix metals! I personally think that mixing metals looks really good, as long as the style of jewelry still matches. If she was wearing an engagement ring or something fancy, then I would think that hunk of rock did not match and I would volunteer to take it (down the street to the pawnshop! Hahaha jk!!). But, since all these pieces had unique styles, yet a similar theme going on they all worked.
