OOTD: Black and White Prints

OOTD black and white prints with gray leather jacket

Hey everyone!

The weather is getting colder with every passing day. Each morning when I get up and get ready for the day, I look outside and all I see is a dark sky. It takes so much effort to figure out what to wear for the day. That means, I generally just wear whatever I want and hope for the best. The weather may or may not agree with me, but I've got an umbrella so it's all good!

Luckily, I got to take these pictures when the sun was actually out in the morning. In fact, it was so bright, I had trouble keeping my eyes open. I don't know about you, but for me, my eyes like to tear up and water really easily. It's a pain in the derriere because makeup, you know?

Today, I wanted to share with you one of my favorite outfits. I pulled on a pair of black and white printed leggings and wore a black top with it. The top actually has these lace-detailed shoulders, but it was cold so sorry just use your imagination.

I wrapped a blue-green infinity scarf around my neck to help keep warm. This scarf is so different than most scarves I have. Most scarves I own have more warm tones to it, aside from a dark blue one. But yeah, most scarves I own have either intricate and unique designs and prints, or are a simple and solid color. I love wearing scarves; they can really add a pop of color to an outfit. Plus, they keep you warm, which is a definite plus.

I topped it all off with a gray, you guessed it, leather jacket. Yeah... it's a leather jacket again. #Sorrynotsorry

I got this jacket for my birthday a couple years ago from one of my best friends. I really love the style and fit of this jacket. My parents say I got too many leather jackets. But I disagree. They all got different styles, so really, I don't have that many.

Leather jackets are my life! Yeah, it's getting cold so I should probably wear one of my new coats I got. But, I just can't leave my beautiful jackets behind, they will get sad. They will feel lonely til I wear them again when the weather warms up again.

I wore the same brown shoes I wore in my last post, they really went well with the whole boho earthy-colored vibe I got goin on. At least, I think that's how to describe it?

The whole tan-brown shoes, printed pants, and the blue-green scarf complement each other really well. The outfit is simple and comfortable, plus it doesn't take too much effort to put on. I can't really be expected to wear something that requires too much work in the mornings, now can I? I know you guys all get me here.

Anyways, hope you all enjoyed this ensemble I put together!

Finals are coming up really soon for me. This Friday I have an exam, and then next week I got a couple final projects going on as well. Woohoooo break is almost here! I'm actually kind of sad the quarter is ending. I'm really enjoying two of the classes I'm taking. The third one, I don't really like, so I'm okay it's ending. It just wasn't what I expected. But that's the good thing about the quarter system UW has. If you hate a class, you finish faster. But, on the other hand, if you love it, you still end fast.

Lemme know in the comments below what you guys think! I would love to hear your thoughts!
How do you like to style printed pants?

Thanks for reading, I hope you all have a wonderful day!

Til next time,
~A

    1. Haha yes when I hear imagination, I hear it in the spongebob voice, painting a rainbow over his head and saying "imagination"
I agree, balancing bold patterns with neutrals is the way to go. I love wearing one piece that grabs attention, with the rest a bit more neutral and basic to complement the focus.
thank you! and yess that's how I live my life, wearing my leather jackets all the time. I'm glad the temperature here is more or less moderate. It only gets freezing in the early mornings, but then as the day goes on it gets warmer out.
thank you geri! Christmas is in 18 days!! I can't wait!!
thanks for reading! have a wonderful day :)

  9. What a lovely post and thank you for the clothing inspiration !:)
All my late teens and early 20s I was addicted to the ,combo, of black and white. I still do like it but somehow I always end up with a stain on my white so I am quite going dark the latest years (dark jeans and black shoes and shirt) my new colour love have become baby pink but so far I wear it mostly for home.
Oh, an WOW I have to say that I am totally the same with the light! My eyes are so sensitive in the last years and I found out from my mum that she has it as well. The only thing I can recommend and what works is to ALWAY leave the home with some sunglasses in your bag (or on your head). It is a life saver! Sometime it is so bad that I even wish I could watch TV in them because some programs are just too bright and the LED technology is just not helping. Luckily my bedroom tv is adjusting the colours around when it is dark (some black Samsung - an amazing feature).
Thank you for all your lovely posts on your blog I am a fan! :)

    1. I totally get what you mean. When I wear white, I get super cautious and careful because I get so worried I will stain it!
Baby pink is such a pretty shade of pink, I think it is a perfect winter color!
Sunglasses is a wonderful suggestion! I just always seem to forget to bring them when I really need them. I end up squinting, which is terrible because of wrinkles and aging. I should really keep one permanently in my bag!
I'm really glad you enjoy my blog! Thank you :)

That's the bane of college, isn't it? Whether you love or hate a class, they all end at the same time. I hope your finals go well. Best of luck!

Yes, I'm really feeling sad two of my classes are ending. It is really sad how once you start to feel comfortable in the class and enjoy the material and the whole environment, the quarter is pretty much over. Thank you! I think I need that luck, hopefully I will do well. Fingers crossed!
